My quiet space where I can reliably work all the time is my bed in my dorm. It is the only place where I feel comfortable, relaxed, and motivated to do work. have my mattress pad, warm comforter, and all my pillows for comfort. I also have my bed looking right out onto the Saco River and I have all my pictures of my friends and family looking over me. And instead of working in that bright fluorescent white light that is so difficult to work in, my roommate and I bought warm white and colored Christmas lights around the ceiling and around the base trim on the floor. It makes the room more inviting than sitting in the library with strangers or even just sitting at my desk. For the two months that I have been at UNE I have never used the desk once for homework. The only thing that I would I change about my study space would be the TV in the room. I can only do homework with some background noise otherwise I get distracted but sometimes my favorite shows come on and I put homework tot he side and say ill get to it later. When comparing my study work space to other work spaces in the photographs, mine is very unique. It doesn’t involve paper, pen, or even a desk. We all work in our own way, and we stick with what suits us best.
